Having been at the forefront of cutting-edge legal issues for many years, specialising in emerging technologies, privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, media and telecommunications, Spiros has taken up the position of Partner and Head of TMT, Data Protection & Privacy Practice at POTAMITISVEKRIS Law Firm (www.potamitisvekris.com) since March 2024, covering data compliance, cybersecurity, AI and emerging technologies and privacy!

Previously, he was the founder of Tassis & Associates Law Firm in Athens, Greece, and Managing Partner of the Greek Office of ICT Legal Consulting (ICTLC). Together with his team of specialists, Spiros manages data management and compliance projects for major companies and organisations. Other highlights of his career include Head Corporate Legal Adviser at Cosmoline S.A., Corporate Legal Adviser at Vodafone Greece and Senior Associate at a major law firm in Athens.

In 2009, he was one of the key advisors to the Ministry of Communications on the drafting of a new law on the National Fibre Optic Network (Ftth), in 2018 he advised the same Ministry on the implementation of the NIS Directive and is currently a member of the AI in Justice Committee.
